Helen Trotman was born in United States, but spent her childhood living in various places around the world, with extended time in both England and Australia. Her career as a Professional Photographer for the past 17 years split the majority of her time between the Outer Banks and the North Eastern U.S. Managing her business gave her incredible insights to the world of independent business and set her sights on elevating Epic Kites to world class heights. Helen manages daily operations for Epic with a strong focus on customer service. Helen continues: “It’s incredibly important to us that each and every customer is treated fairly and with value. One of my pet peeves is bad customer service, so we do our very best to make every Epic interaction an easy and happy one.“ When asked about her model for success, she adds, “I think the key to being successful is being true, upfront and consistent with a great product line to support that. We strive to answer dealers and customer's e-mails within hours, if not minutes.”
Helen loves the diversity that kiteboarding offers and the wonderful people that it attracts. The Epic crew has been to some stunning locations that include Turks and Caicos, Greece and the Grenadines, and they look forward to traveling to more Epic locations such as Australia and the South Pacific in upcoming years.
When not managing all things Epic, Helen enjoys her dog posse, cooking, gardening, spending quality family time, laughter and fine wine.
Helen prides herself on the customer connections she’s made and feels like these valued people are truly part of the Epic family. “Epic is a company born of passion and excitement about the sport of kiteboarding and the people that feel the same way about it.”
