* How did you get into kitesurfing?
- I was too young to know what kiting was about. My dad took me on his back when I was just nine months old I think. He got into trouble with mom.
* Having a dad as a pro rider who also makes kites must be brilliant, isn’t it?
- Yes, it Is. He is so cool.
* You already have your own pro model kite! Can you tell us about it?
- Yes. I have a Junior Pro four metre from Epic. Odd sometimes takes it out in the waves and I hate it when he does. It comes with a Junior Pro bar for kids like me. and girts. I also ride the Renegade six and nines, but I'm not ready for the Screamer yet because it's so fast I want to try it. but dad says no.
* How hard did you think kitesurfing was to leam?
- It was hard because I was 2 1/2 years- old when I started to fly my dad's trainer kite and didn't know what I was doing.
* Where Is your home spot and what are the conditions like?
- My home spot is on the sound behind my house at Jockey Ridge. The conditions are very nice and the water isn't very deep. I can just walk if I get in trouble.
* How often do you get to kitesurf and how does it fit in with school?
- Sometimes my dad picks me up out of school right when it ends, already in his wetsuit and we go straight to the beach!
* Who do you usually kitesurf with?
- My dad is there to supervise me. but other than that I kitesurf by myself. I always get my kites together at the start of a session and then my dad double-checks it all to see if I did anything wrong.
* What are you trying to leam at the moment?
- A handle-pass board-off.
* What's the hardest part about learning it?
- Landing it.
* What's your favourite trick?
- Back loop and kite loop at the same time.
* Who Is your favourite kitesurfer and why?
- My dad because he encourages me to kite and do new tricks and he follows me on his kite, telling me what to do. Sometimes our kites get tangled.
* If you could have a special superpower what would it be?
- I would like to be able to fly like a bird. It feels so good when you are up there looking down. After kiting, I know a little bit about how it feels to be a bird.
* If you could hang out for a day with anyone In the world who would It be and why?
- My best friend Ocean. We go to school together and I take him kiteboarding, but he is afraid. I want to take my teacher too, Ms Blumenthol. and teach her. Hopefully, she will then give me better grades.
* What tricks do you think kitesurfers will be doing in the future?
- A handle-pass with a board-off with a kite loop. That would be epic!
